Side by side
The real cost
Mollie charges per transaction with no monthly fee. Sounds simple. But to run a real business, you still need a website, invoicing, subscription management, dunning, and a customer portal.
With Mollie, you get payment rails. With PayFacile, you get a business.
Why PayFacile
Create your site with our visual editor. Custom domain, white label. No Shopify, no WordPress, no developer needed.
Compliant invoices, automatic retries (dunning), VAT handling. Mollie does not handle invoicing.
Accept SEPA direct debit via GoCardless. Mollie also supports SEPA natively, but without the platform around it.
Your customers manage their own subscription, invoices, and payment method. Mollie does not offer a customer portal.
Trigger automatic actions: welcome emails, payment reminders, segmentation. No Zapier required.
Data hosted in the EU (AWS Dublin). GDPR compliant, PCI/DSS certified, PSD2 compliant. Mollie is also EU-based (Netherlands).
Who it's for
If you already have a website, a developer on hand, and just need to accept card payments, SEPA, or iDEAL: Mollie is a solid choice. Their API is clean, pricing is transparent (€1.80 + 2.90% per transaction), and their PrestaShop and WooCommerce plugins work well.
But if you sell subscriptions, courses, memberships, or digital products, Mollie is not enough. You will need a website (Shopify, Webflow, WordPress), an invoicing tool, dunning management, and a customer portal. That is 4 tools to pay for and maintain. PayFacile does all of this natively.
Got questions
Mollie charges €1.80 + 2.90% per transaction, no monthly fee. PayFacile starts at €12/month + 1 to 2% (down to 0% on Platinum). For payment processing alone, Mollie is cheaper. Once you add a site, invoicing, and a portal, the total cost reverses.
Yes for the essentials: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, SEPA, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay via Stripe and GoCardless. Mollie adds iDEAL, Bancontact, and Klarna natively. If you target the Netherlands or Belgium specifically, that is a point for Mollie.
No. PayFacile integrates with Stripe, GoCardless, and Braintree, not Mollie. If Mollie is your current gateway, migrate to Stripe (native PayFacile support). Migration takes about 10 minutes.
Yes, automatically. Compliant invoices, VAT, dunning, all built in. Mollie does not handle invoicing or tax management.
