Configure DNS settings
Set up your DNS records with your registrar to connect your domain to PayFacile.
What you need to configure
To point your domain to PayFacile, you need to add a CNAME record in the DNS zone of your registrar (OVH, Gandi, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
The CNAME record must point to the address provided by PayFacile in Settings → Domain. Do not create an A record — only the CNAME is needed.
Configuration steps
- Log in to your registrar (OVH, Gandi, GoDaddy, Namecheap…)
- Navigate to the DNS zone for your domain
- Add a new record of type CNAME
- In the “Name” (or “Host”) field, enter the subdomain (e.g. www or shop). For a root domain, enter @
- In the “Value” (or “Target”) field, paste the address provided by PayFacile
- Save
Propagation and verification
DNS propagation can take a few minutes to 48 hours. Usually, it is effective in less than an hour. Go back to Settings → Domain to check that PayFacile detects your configuration.
If verification fails after 48 hours, check that you created a CNAME (not an A record), that the value is exact, and that there is no extra trailing dot.
Common mistakes
A record instead of CNAME: PayFacile uses a CNAME, not an IP address. An A record will not work.
Extra trailing dot (“.”): some registrars automatically append a dot. If you type it yourself, you may end up with a double dot. Check the final result in your DNS zone.
Conflict with an existing record: if an A or AAAA record already exists for the same subdomain, remove it before adding the CNAME.
