SSL certificate and HTTPS

Your custom domain automatically gets an SSL certificate. Learn how HTTPS works on PayFacile.

Automatic SSL, nothing to configure

As soon as your custom domain is verified (DNS correctly points to PayFacile), an SSL certificate is generated automatically. Your store becomes accessible over HTTPS with no action required on your part.

You do not need to purchase a certificate, configure it manually, or renew it. PayFacile handles all of this for you.

Why HTTPS matters

HTTPS ensures that data exchanged between your customers and your store is encrypted. It is essential for:

  • Payment security — browsers block payment forms on non-secure pages
  • Customer trust — the padlock in the address bar reassures your visitors
  • SEO — Google favors HTTPS sites in search results

What to do if SSL is not working?

If your domain shows a certificate error or stays on HTTP:

  1. Check DNS propagation — the certificate can only be generated once DNS is correctly configured. Wait 24 to 48 hours after the change
  2. Check in Settings → Domain — PayFacile shows whether the domain is verified or pending
  3. Disable the Cloudflare proxy — if you use Cloudflare, the cloud icon must be grey (DNS only) so PayFacile can generate the certificate

If the problem persists after 48 hours, contact PayFacile support.
