An option can be free or paid. Here is how the price adds to the total depending on option type: fixed, recurring, or one-time fee.
How options affect the price
An option can be free or paid. Here is how the price adds to the total.
Free options
No impact on the total. They collect a choice or information: color with no surcharge, time slot, customization field. The customer picks, the price stays the same.
Paid options
A fixed amount is added to the product price. For Select options, each value can have a different price: Basic (€0), Premium (+€29), VIP (+€59). The checkout price updates in real time as the customer selects options.
Recurring options
For subscriptions, an option can be recurring. Its price is added to each billing cycle. Example: €49/month subscription + “Priority support” at €10/month = €59/month as long as the subscription is active.
One-time fees
Some options are billed only once, even on a subscription. Example: €99 initial setup fee. Charged on the first installment, then subsequent ones return to the normal price.
Total calculation
Total = product base price + all selected option prices. For quantity options, the option price is multiplied by the chosen quantity before being added to the total.
