Customer portal (buyer side)
The customer portal lets your buyers view their orders, download invoices, update their payment method, and manage their subscription.
What is the customer portal?
The customer portal is a private area accessible to your buyers. It allows them to manage their account, view their history, and perform certain actions autonomously, without having to contact you. This space is hosted directly on your PayFacile store (or your custom domain).
What your customers can do
From the portal, your customers have access to:
- View their orders: complete history with the status of each order
- Download their invoices: each invoice is available as a PDF, downloadable in one click
- Update their payment method: replace an expired credit card or modify payment information
- Terminate a subscription: if you’ve enabled this option in the product settings, customers can cancel their subscription directly from the portal
- Edit their personal information: name, address, phone number
How customers access the portal
Your customers can access the portal in several ways:
- Link in transactional emails: every order confirmation and invoice email contains a link to the portal
- Email invitation: from the customer profile in your dashboard, you can send an invitation. The customer receives an email with a link to create their portal account
- Direct login: customers who already have an account can log in from your store’s login page
Send a portal access link
To manually send portal access:
- Open the customer profile from Customers
- Click Invite to portal
- The customer receives an invitation email with a secure link to create their password and access their space
This feature is especially useful when migrating customers from another platform and you want to give them immediate access.
FAQ
Can the customer cancel their subscription from the portal?
Only if you’ve enabled this option in the subscription product settings. If the option is disabled, the customer will need to contact you to request cancellation.
Is the portal available on my custom domain?
Yes. If you’ve connected a custom domain to your store, the customer portal is automatically accessible from that domain.
