Google Analytics 4
Integrate Google Analytics 4 with your PayFacile store: what gets tracked, how to connect, events sent, and verification.
What GA4 tracks on your store
Google Analytics 4 collects data about your PayFacile store activity:
- page_view — every page visited by a user (product page, payment page, cart, blog).
- purchase — every completed order with transaction details (amount, product, currency).
This data appears in your GA4 reports and helps you understand your audience, traffic sources, and conversion rate.
Connect GA4 to PayFacile
The connection takes two steps:
- In Google Analytics, copy your Measurement ID (format G-XXXXXXXXXX) from Admin → Data Streams.
- In PayFacile, go to Settings → Integration → Google Analytics and paste the ID. Save.
PayFacile automatically loads the GA4 script on all your store pages.
Events sent
PayFacile automatically sends the following GA4 events:
- page_view — on every page load.
- purchase — on order confirmation, with amount and product details.
These events follow the GA4 e-commerce standard, allowing you to use GA4’s native monetization reports.
Test the integration
After connecting GA4:
- Visit a page on your store.
- Open GA4 → Reports → Realtime.
- Verify that your visit appears in the real-time data.
If nothing appears, check that the measurement ID is correct and that you do not have an extension blocking tracking scripts (uBlock Origin, etc.).
FAQ
Does GA4 slow down my store?
The GA4 script is loaded asynchronously and has minimal impact on your store’s loading speed.
Are test purchases counted in GA4?
If your store is in production mode with GA4 connected, all purchases — real or test — are counted. Use a GA4 filter or a dedicated measurement ID for testing if needed.
