Set up Google Analytics

Connect Google Analytics 4 to your PayFacile store to track page views, purchases, and visitor behavior.

Why connect Google Analytics?

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) lets you understand how visitors interact with your store: which pages they visit, where they come from, and whether they buy. This data helps you optimize your offer and marketing.

Step 1: Get your GA4 measurement ID

In Google Analytics, go to Admin → Data Streams → your web stream. Copy the Measurement ID that starts with G- (example: G-XXXXXXXXXX).

If you do not have a GA4 property yet, create one at analytics.google.com.

Step 2: Enter the ID in PayFacile

From your PayFacile dashboard, go to Settings → Integration → Google Analytics. Paste your GA4 measurement ID in the provided field and save.

What gets tracked

Once connected, GA4 automatically tracks:

  • Page views — every page visited on your store.
  • Purchases — every completed order (purchase event).

These events appear in your GA4 reports with no additional configuration.

Verify it works

After saving, visit your store and check in GA4 → Reports → Realtime that your page views appear. If everything is correct, you will see your visit in the real-time data.

FAQ

Does the old UA-XXXXXXX format work?
No. PayFacile exclusively uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The old Universal Analytics (UA-) format has been sunset by Google since July 2024.
Can I use GA4 and Google Tag Manager at the same time?
Yes. If you use GTM, you can manage the GA4 tag through GTM instead of entering it directly in PayFacile. Both approaches work.
