Monthly, yearly, or both? Here’s how to set the price, frequency, and billing options for your PayFacile products.
Monthly, yearly, or both?
Do you want to bill monthly, annually, or offer both? That’s the first decision. Here’s how to configure the price and frequency that match your business model.
Set the price and currency
In the product editor, enter the amount in the Price field. The default currency is EUR. Other available currencies depend on your Stripe configuration: if your Stripe account accepts payments in USD, GBP, or CHF, those currencies will appear in the selector.
The price is always displayed including tax on the payment page. If you apply a tax profile, the net/VAT breakdown appears on the invoice.
Billing frequency (subscriptions)
For subscriptions, you choose the billing period:
- Monthly — customer is billed every month
- Annual — one invoice per year
- Weekly — billed every week
- Custom — you define the number of days between invoices
The frequency applies from the first billing (or after the trial period if enabled).
Setup fees and free trial
Setup fees — A one-time charge at the start of the subscription, on top of the first recurring payment. Useful for billing initial configuration, onboarding, or installation costs.
Free trial period — Enable the trial and set its duration in days. The customer accesses your product without being charged. When it expires, recurring billing starts automatically. The payment method is collected at signup, even during the trial.
Tax profile
Link a tax profile to your product to automatically apply VAT. Create your profiles in Settings → Taxes, then select it in the product editor. The VAT rate will appear on every generated invoice.
Expected result
Your product displays the correct price, frequency, and taxes on the payment page. Invoices will be generated automatically with the net/VAT breakdown if a tax profile is applied.
